I play lead keyboards (lead instrument, infact) in my band, and I was in need of a better speaker for practices. I was going to buy an Ibanez bass 100w bass amp, but my dealer recommended this instead. Yorkville is apperantly renowned for having really solid products, and that is definitely the case with this beast. Compaired to alot of other 100w combo amps, this thing is very light and compact, but it really belts out the entire range. When you pick it up and set it down, it really feels like it's absolutely solid. It's effect loop is really great, and works better than using an instrument>effect>amp effect line. The equalizer only has 2 knobs (high and low), so aside from that there aren't really any features that are that great. I play a minimoog voyager, and I generally use it more like a guitar than a keyboard (main melodies, fast solo's as opposed to reinforcing chords or instrument simulation) so for my style it works great with the voyager because if you turn the channels up past half way you get a little bit of overdrive which is pretty sweet. Overall a very good purchase by my terms.

The quality of these is top of the line. The only reason I am giving it "9" in the overall category is that the volume is so sensitive. It goes from whisper quiet to a "dragon just landed on the roof" in the space of an 8th inch turn of the dial. This took me by surprise more than a few time!

This monitor is great for many uses, pa, guitar amp (no onbard effects though there are send and receive jacks), keyboard amp, etc... The only things I didn`t like are the hard limiter that adds a compressor effect on heavy bass sounds, and the inputs are a bit noisy, but otherwise a great amp. Very rugged.
