I have heard about it, and actually want one. currently playing a Casio, my last Casio. To the person who says that all Yamahas are like playing plasic spoons, you review does me no good. What do you expect, a piano. get real. I have played one, so far tested it at another store, and I love how it plays, and sounds. a little tricky at first, but after I have figured it out (in all about 5 mins), I was hooked. If you want a Tyros, without all the other stuff and the price of one, (what the heck is a voice enhancer anyway?) Then the PSR3000 is for you.

High quality sounds, flexible machine

I've had it for a year or so. The voices are great, especially the organs, strings, woodwinds. Guitars and pianos are also good but in my opinion you have to tweak and add effects to them in order to achieve a more solid sound. There are plenty of options to do this and more, this machine will keep you busy and give you many hours of interesting playing around. Most of the styles are good but again, what saves the day is the ability to change and personalize them. Even so I have not found a way to use my personalized sounds on an edited style (a minor detail). A great feature is its connectivity. The usb in accepts any usb memory so you can easily store and retrive any song, style, etc. The psr 3000 is not very easy to use for a begginner but it is worth the learning curve. If you don't really deeply need the vocal harmonizer (which is not that good at all).. go for the 1500, practically the same keyboard for less money.

Best Keyboard I've ever owned

I bought the PSR3000 few years back and been jammin on it happily ever since. This is an awesome keyboard for the buck!. You can customise prettymuch every thing on it. You can make any beat you want on it. I use it for one man shows all the time and people say it sounds like a whole band playing. One thing I really wished it had was a better Indian Tabla kit since I use it to play lot of "Bila" Sri lankan native music. I have a Boss Dr670 to go with it which took care of that problem purchased through Musicians friend online.

Finally I would like to say this keyboard is the best choice for someone creative!!

Solo dream

I wanted a keyboard to use in solo gigs. As an actual Hammond B3 owner I wanted a single keyboard for piano, organ and backing. This board reproduces the Hammond very well and the rotory speaker sound imitates my 122's slowing down speed to winding up to fast speed. As an aging musician the Hammond is way to much to to move around. This fit the bill very well.

Almost a dream

I would have called it a dream if not for the fact that these do not support Arps. The mega sounds rock. The sounds tend to be a tad too sweet and that's not a serious complaint...just a suggestion for the next innovations in PSRs. I also own a motif es and can safely say that I enjoy playing the psr3K more than the motif. It's a tad expensive but quality is amazing. And for those folks who have a problem with the keys...please understand that an Electronic Keyboard is not a Piano. If you want piano type keys...go buy a piano. This instrument is for the electronic musician who does not need to bang his fingers on weighted keys for different effects. Instead she uses smart hand movements to change settings instruments with her fingers while also playing music...an electronic keyboard is a completely different instrument from a piano requiring different skillsets.
