Has A Fundamental Flaw

Experience w/product: I own it
Reviewer's Background: hobbyist

I own this keyboard, and there are some fantastic features here, but due to what I consider a catastrophic design flaw, I am sending it back. It has a second problem as well, which I could live with, but the main issue I cannot accept.

First the showstopper for me: this keyboard has NO...thats right ZERO ability to transpose notes. So if you like to play that song in the key of C, and your guitarist says "play it in key of d#" you're hosed. This keyboard has the ability to shift WHOLE OCTAVES only. I find that absolutely mind-boggling. I have 88 keys on this thing, why in the world would I ever want to shift a whole octave? I already have a bunch of octaves.

Every keyboard I've ever seen has the ability to shift / transpose notes. Even my baby boy's toy casio keyboard has transpose.

You cannot call a keyboard a "controller" when it cannot even transpose. Sorry but this is huge for me, as transpose is such a basic function like a volume button is on a remote control.

For this reason alone, I am sending it back. I dont care how great the other features are, its just such a basic function, that, to overlook it and put in OCTAVE shifts on an 88-note keyboard that doesn't even split/layer is just irrational.

Cya KX8!
