This is a very well made and well designed product. It is easy to figure out and the ability to integrate this into your performance depends on the dexterity of your feet. This seems to work nicely if you are a solo guitarist and want a bass type accompaniment (add a drum machine and you've got your one man band); it allows the freedom to create arrangements that can be full sounding but have a dynamic element to it..ie.don't have to be sequenced. Also good with organ / organ bass splits. Two things that this product could improve this pedal is: 1) have some user lock feature so when used in performance you can't accidently change the performance mode 2) allow transposition feature to work in both the mono and poly modes.

I use the PK5A to trigger loops to a SP404. I wish that the MIDI documentation was longer, more in depth, and provided more examples. That being said I figured out how to trigger samples as well as drive a selected sound when hooked up to a processor.

really really great product. i just got it and its already really easy to use. perfect for multi-tasking musicians. wish this kind of product was more mainstream.

I got this pedal set from my bass teacher for *** dollars (why my value is so high, and they're a little beaten up that's why a 9 for quality). As a bassist and pianist/synth player I needed a way to play both at once, esspecially when covering Rush. I can get so many features out of these and using my Roland XP-10 synth. The drum set on it is somewhat limited but it's great to write a drumline with.

I play bass, keys and a dozen other instruments in my band, but the PK-5 is always busy under my feet. Sometimes I sit down and play doublestops and melodies, drums, plus deep MIDI triggered synth bass, With my Moog Taurus pedals too, nobody can tell where all these sounds are coming from onstage!
