I use the KC-150 through my laptop, bass, drums, keyboard, and guitar and everything sounds amazing! It isn't loud enough to play live, but it will fill my whole house with sound! Very nice amp, highly recommended. Buy it now.

I'm a drummer, but I play in a jazz quartet and our keyboard player uses this amp (along with a Yamaha S-90 Keyboard). I will say it sounds very clear and brings out the subtle tones and nuances from the keyboard. Very good sound quality! However, it is a VERY directional amp. It sounds great if it's pointed in your direction, but if you are off to the side or behind it, you can barely hear it at all. Other musicians in the audience (small club) would say they could barely hear the amp (at about 30-50 feet away) if they weren't facing it directly. As others have said, the lack of real power is a drawback. I think the lack of "spread" of this amp has a lot to do with that. We started using an extension speaker via the 1/4" direct out (a JBL powered EON) and that helps a lot with projection. Also, I have noticed a buzz coming from the 1/4" direct out when recording direct to a quality multi-track recorder. It seems to get louder the longer the amp is on. I've tried different cables from the amp and different instruments in that particular track of the recorder, but the buzz seems to be the amp itself.

I own it and have used it for years. The only bad thing is that is had a 2 band EQ. I recommend this amp be used with a computer because it isn't very loud and the XLR buzzes like heck. Other than that it is one of the best amps I have ever used. It sounds VERY nice. BUY IT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!

This is a solid amp, minus a few lose screws and corner supports falling off.. nothin a little glew and screwdriver can't fix. I've owned this for 5 years and nothing has blown, everything works. I find 60 watts to not be enough for monitoring in loud rooms. It starts distorting at 75% volume.. which was barely loud enough... and obviously not clear. Its a good practice amp if you're by yourself.. but not in a room w/ a full band. I'd really like a 3 band eq. basically get the next model up. twice the watts, 3 band eq.. and can run 2 of em stereo.

Good amp for beginners..

I've owned the previous model, KC-100, for 6 years- nothing has blown and all the channels work. BUT.. some screws have come lose, nothin routine maintance can't fix. But mainly- I want more headroom.. for both band practices, and for monitoring. I have to turn down the bass all the time cuz it'll start distorting at 3/4 volume, the high mids get harsh when turned up as well. Even when i use it for monitoring purposes- its not loud enough and will distort.. so i really recommend getting the KC-350.. it has twice the power, 3 band EQ, and can be doubled up for stereo applications.. so i'm lookin to get one of those.. it should be perfect for what i need. This is a good amp for personal practice, but not much headroom/bass if u wanna be in the mix w/ drums and guitars at a practice.
