Worst Roland i've ever bought

I have had many pro gears through out the years, and this is one of the worst unit i have ever bought. The sounds are terrible, its cheaply made and its very disappointing. I have used Rolands in the past, and the piano sounds were decent and presentable, but this one here is a disappointment. Now i will have to sell it.

I have an older yamaha ps series that produces better sound than this keyboard. i'm very disappointed with this purchase.

Very Complicated

You need a doctorate in computer engineering to use this keyboard. I got an instructional DVD, but the instructor assumes the viewer has years of experience with Roland products and goes too fast for a mere mortal like myself to follow. Keep in mind I've been using computers/PCs since they came out and I've been playing keyboards 45 years.

I finally wrote out the steps to follow to do some basic functions such as layering sounds and splitting the keyboard. In all, 24 steps just to do those functions! And like Algebra, if you mess up on any of the steps you go nowhere.

The keyboard is undersized and cheezy, like the cheapest Casio from 20 years ago. Some keys are louder than others. Some, like in the upper register, drop off in volume compared to the other keys for no reason.

I haven't even tried the recording system yet, although I'm sure it will take many hours to figure it out - if I can at all. I regret buying this thing. If you are anything less than a 100% computer geek, you are going to have a world of problems getting the Juno G to do what you want. It is ridiculously complicated.

Endless creative possibilities

I can't really compare this synth to any others, as this is the only one I've actually owned myself. I have played quite a few other models though, and in this price range, I think the Juno G is awesome. I'm a guitar player first, and then a keyboard player, and this thing has open doors in my studio, that would otherwise not be accessible. Great sounds, and features. You won't be disappointed.

The Juno G is the best workstation in it's pricerange! Its got a sampler, built in drum machine, tight sounds, etc. It goes hand in hand with my MPC 500! The 500 doesn't auto chop so I auto chop on the Juno, send it to my 500, make the beat, send it back to the juno, add melodies and lyrics, mix and master and send it to my computer to burn the cd! Be on the lookout for CAREY G!! Mine is going strong after a year!

Best in it's class for endless possibilities, the sounds are amazing, esp. The pianos and organs. Large bright easy to read display. Try one out and see what you think. Of course it needs a good monitor system or pa to sound it's best. Another awesome tool for a creative person, and I've had mine for a year, and yes the display is still working!
