Rear Right-facing Model 01, Hand

The Roland CM-30 Cube Monitor delivers 30W of audio punch through a rugged, high-quality 6.5" coaxial 2-way speaker with stereo preamp. The CM-30 is designed for home-studio and wide-ranging monitoring applications, but it can be used for live monitoring onstage as well.

The Roland CM-30 monitor speaker offers more than enough inputs to simultaneously connect a microphone, a keyboard, a rhythm machine, and a CD player, or to function as a mini-PA rig. It's equipped with 3 input channels, with one XLR mic/line input and 2 additional AUX RCA and stereo mini-phone inputs, making a total of 5 simultaneous inputs possible (4 stereo and one mono input). The Stereo Link function allows 2 CM-30s to be linked for true stereo output, which enables a total of 10 inputs.

Sound can be further refined with the Roland speaker's onboard 2-band equalizer. As with all other controls, the EQ knobs are conveniently located on the front panel for quick access.

The Roland CM-30 can be easily and safely toted from location to location thanks to its built-in handle grip, protective metal grille cover, and cabinet corner protectors. Other handy features include a stereo headphone jack and mic stand adapter.

As others have stated, this packs plenty of sound in a small package for far less $$ than the similarily sized Mackie. I use it in a mobile DJ setup as a monitor to hear my voice and the music. But, it can also be used as a little PA system for things like outdoor wedding ceremonies where you only need enuff sound for the Wedding March, etc. Now I don't have to drag out a full sized system to perform those duties. I have my big setup inside and can use amp/speaker/mixer with an I-pod to do the little jobs. I think 2 of these with a subwoofer could even do the larger jobs with no problem and I'm sure I can finally do a small pro DJ event using the saddlebags on my motorcycle, these little speakers, a few mics, computer and cords. Wow, no van needed! My only complaint is that Roland chose an odd power cord plug. It's one of those plugs I've seen before but I don't think is real common like the computer cord plugs I assumed it would use. I like having backups and now I'll need to track down another one of these cords. If the power cord plug issue were resolved, I would have given this 5 stars all around.

I love this monitor! I have bought six for school and one for home. I use them as vocal monitors, both single and parallel; studio monitors; as a PA, as speakers for my show choir, as bass and keyboard amps; and I run my iPod through it for choreography rehearsals. It is super portable and strong and delivers a great quality sound. I like the multiple input types, three channels and the EQ. I highly recommend!

I posted previously under "If Your a Drummer."

I recently added a second Cube 30 to the line up. I use them as monitors for live performance as well as amps for my electronic drums. I recently stereo linked two of them together to make a P.A. system for my friend's wedding.

It was an outdoor venue with about 100 people. Even with the planes flying overhead everyone still clearly heard the ceremony. No distortion when cranked to 10. WOW!!!!

These Cubes are the Cat's Meow!!!

This is a powerful little speaker! I use it as a monitor for my keyboard, and for when I practice at home. It's got good bass for such a small size. It's a little more money than I wanted to pay for one, but I'm glad I did. It's great, and the handle on the back makes it very easy to carry, and you can mount it on a mic stand too if you want.

I use this on stage as a monitor. Direct -in your face occupying little space beside my keyboards. Easily adjustable input levels - and rugged design.Even the headphone design allows for 'in-ear' or both, listening. Great product.
