The Little Phatty Stage Edition has the same features and sound engine as the wildly popular Tribute Edition. Designed by Moog founder and inventor the late Bob Moog, the Little Phatty is a monophonic analog synthesizer with 100 user editable presets. The Stage Edition boasts improved software and a unique auto-calibration feature.

The Little Phatty Stage Edition synthesizer puts the performer in control of a 100% analog signal path with Real Analog Control, two ultra stable Voltage Controlled Oscillators and one Voltage Controlled Filter among other versatile features like CV inputs, KB gate and a full MIDI controller. Real Analog Control (RAC) is a proprietary technology enabling the performer to directly interface with the analog circuitry via the knobs on the control panel, without any digital processing.

It includes updated software with auto calibration and an auto tune function that ensures the instrument is tuned perfectly whether it's in a cool studio or under hot stage lighting. Add in an asymmetric pitch wheel, 21 assignable MIDI controllers and well as arbitrary pot mapping and you can see that the stage edition gives you precise control over your sound.

The Little Phatty is aesthetically pleasing both aurally and visually. A striking design makes it one of the coolest looking synths on the planet. The Stage Edition departs from a traditional wood cabinet and is cradled instead by sleek, charcoal-colored rubberized side panels.

I use this keyboard for soloing, mostly. I also sometimes use it for transitions. I combine it with the new Prophet 08 and I get a deadly synth combo. I really like the Rick Wakeman preset (I'm his biggest fan). Overall, it's probably the best keyboard in my rig.

While I initially passed off the Phatty as being a poor man's Voyager, I had begun to learn more about it the past few weeks, and fell in love with the all-analog pathways and completely customizable presets. Finally today I was able to go and try this bad boy out. Basically, it was even better than I thought it would be. The sound quality was absolutely was absolutely sublime, it was easy to operate, and the various modulations make some insane noises from this thing. And that was after only messing with it for 5 minutes. I was saving up for a new bass amp or a Rick 4003, but I think I know exactly what I'm saving up for now.

I recently used the Moog Little Phatty Analog Synth at a local music store and it blew me away. The presets on this synthesizer are absolutely amazing, and are completely adjustable to your liking. I've had no experience with analog synthesizers, and I had no problem figuring out how to tweak this bad boy. The pitch wheel on this synthesizer is very smooth and easy to operate. If I had the money I would totally go out and buy this product. If you have the money to spend on this product then I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in it.
