Great Value for Limited Budget

I've owned this board for several years. I had been wanting an 88 key dead board since I'm used to composing on piano and want those extra keys. Keys are obviously much lighter action than a real grand piano, but weight is nice, being usb powered is a huge plus. Plug and play with Reason and Garage band. I have noted that the keys do get a bit noisy over time, but just put headphones on or crank up the volume ;-) I'm very pleased with mine - especially for the money.

The action is terrible. no internal speakers, though I suppose thats to be expected. The keys are plasticky plastic, and the action is simple springs that you can hear after a few months of occasional playing. I am very dissapointed in myself for thinking that I could get something good out of a keyboard at this price. . . .for the price, I suppose you can't get better.

After carriying around from Roland A80 to SL990, my new M audio keystation 88es is the great keyboard to carrie and with hardware or software on studio or live an I mean several trips a week this little one has been doing great for over a year Totally recommended, now I use it with the complete classics from Native Instruments on Mac platafrom, nothing can beat that rig.

This keyboard feels great! Even though its made of pure polyethylene it looks as if it could survive a deadly worldwide nuclear winter. Yes, it's that insanely incredible, even so is the price tag. The semi-weighted keys are also a nice touch.

This is a great midi controller to plug in your high end rack unit. I use a Motif rack with this unit and it works great. The semi weighted keys fell really great.
