Bought this item for a midi controller for my ACID Sony software studio for soft syns Failed me after the first gig! Would not reload nor reconnect to soft syn no matter what rerouting was done!

Although it seems cheap at first glance, this is a very nice keyboard. I use it with GarageBand on my Mac, and not only have I never had any problems with it, but it's small and takes up little space. Although it has very few features, it's a Midi controller, after all, and a very inexpensive one at that. Bottom line: I've never had any problems with it, it gets the job done, it's still in almost mint condition after several years (a few scratches from when I moved), and it's a great deal.

For the price, you can't get a better controller. I'm using Cakewalk Sonar 5 Producer Edition and this controller works perfectly. Easy installation and initial configuration - just plug it in and go. Fits right on my cluttered desk easily. Excellent product.

the m-audio keystation 49e is a great midi controller with a slim sleek look however teh keys are very cheap and the volicity sensitivity is way to high.

A nice unit, especially for the price. Good key action considering they are not weighted at all. I had a dead key on mine, but was replaced with only a little bit of foot-dragging from M-Audio. Looking forward to having fun with this,
