I got this mainly to lay down custom drum beats in my own works. I could put in pre-recorded clips but that wasn't good enough. This gave me complete control and I love it. Just enough keys to do some neat organ riffs and small enough to keep in my dorm.

this thing is built like a tank and does everything it claims to do. Keys are great, knobs work and drivers are secure. But the BEST feature? Aftertouch sensitive drum pads...i use them as pressure controllers for synth parameters like filter freq and resonance. Big fun. Try one.

I just purchased this puppy today. As a musician for over 25 years, I finally dove in to the arena of midi and computer recording.

Out of the box and three hours later I laid down four midi tracks (percussion, bass, piano and ambiance) then two analog tracks (acoustic and electric guitar) using Sonar 8. The final mixdown was spectacular!!

After researching for a couple of months, the Axiom 25 was the unit that kept surfacing. The price is more than affordable for the solid construction, highly configurable and very sleek-looking unit. I would recommend it to beginners and professionals alike.

I don't use the drum pad (top right) much, but when I'm in the studio making beats this piece of equipment is awesome for laying down bass lines and synth chords. If you want the best bang for your buck, seriously considering getting this.

I've worked with many different keyboards over the years, & have to say I'm truly impressed w/ this board. The build quality is pro-level, the key feel is great, & the feature set amazing for the price. My need was for a controller that had trigger pads for percussion as well as the ability to add keyboard sounds via an outboard Roland sound module. I was up & running in minutes, & the octave up/down buttons make covering a full keyboard w/ the Axiom's 25 keys a breeze. The response & feel of the trigger pads is great, & I can't imagine the full power of this board once I read the manual cover to cover & see what it can do.

I would highly recommend the Axiom series to anyone. I can't wait to take this board live!
