I am new to recording interfaces and software but I found this device to be simple to use. The number of inputs will disappoint you if you don't have an external mixer and you want to record drums. Also, the software package that comes with this device is just enough to whet your appetite. You will definitely want to purchase a stand-alone DAW because the version of Ableton Live that comes with the device is very restricted. Not being a keyboard player per se, I couldn't find anything wrong with the keyboard/midi controller. It plays easy and the mod wheels are a nice touch. I run a 3.0 Ghz Pentium D with 4GB of RAM (Windows Vista Home Premium 32) and it runs like a dream - very little latency. The POD Farm application is nice as a stand alone or plugged in to Ableton Live – it’s easy to get good tone out of your vocals, guitars, and bass, especially if you are familiar with Line 6 products. All in all, this product has delivered on everything that I had hoped for - easy to use, good sound quality for recording guitar, bass, and midi, ability to record drums (albeit poor sound quality due to only two microphone inputs and no external mixer yet), and quality. Now all I need is some decent monitors, a full-featured DAW, and a mixer and I’ll be good to go.
