Reviewer's Play Style: A nice Mix

I first learned about this when I went in to a local store to buy another popular brand and model, but the young guy was all jazzed about this new Kawai CE200. The WOODEN KEYS are just incredible. The sounds are awesome. There are TWENTY of them and you can layer or split. Adjusting the balance is super-easy because of the slider on the front panel. The 96 notes of polyphony lets you use the sounds and recording tracks with no worries. My son and I play duets -- each having "our own piano". They keyboard splits so we have the same exact 44-note pianos in the same octave range. It's really cool! Sometimes we just listen to the classical songs built in. They included a music book of all those songs. We're beginners, so I separate out the left and right hand parts to try them one at a time. It's got USB. One of these days I'll get around to setting my notebook computer up there to try some teaching software. The piano and included bench were really easy to put together and they're ROCK SOLID and gorgeous! Oh... and my son found like a drum machine, so he's playing with a drummer! Hah! Kawai: YOU ROCK!!
