I bought this keybaord because I needed some accompaniments while I sing. GREAT piano, stings, vibes, marimba, breathy sax, trumpet, flute. I play a variety of music and the accompaniments like swing, great latin beats, and combos. Nice strings. It is easy to use and play along to. I don't like the cheap keys and unweightedness, but this is my main baord now. I use it for cocktail hours and ALL of my gigs,,,

Bought it to use as cheap rehearsal keyboard - Regular keyboard rig died, pressed this into emergency service for a gig two years ago. I've been using this to gig with ever since. As good as a 2grand Yamaha or Kurzweil? Of course not - but I won't commit suicide if some drunk smashes it, either. More than passable piano, strings and organ tones. Feel is cheap/plastic, but can't beat the sounds for the price. It's held up to two years of heavy gigging, with nary a problem.

Let me get this out right now.....I would have paid the price of this unit for half of what this keyboard is capable of. I am an aspiring keyboardist for the past 2 years. Up until my purchase of the WK-3200, I had been playing a CTK-551 which was a decent keyboard/tool for my early-stage growth (in fact it had a couple of very usable tones...i.e. main piano, some strings, etc.), however, I had recently seen the new WK series online and decided that this would be the next logical step for an affordable unit that would grow with me. Well, I'm am quite "floored" with what this keyboard is capable of! Foremost, the tones on this model are far ahead of what I had been getting from the CTK model. What I've already read in other reviews seems to be quite accurate....Pianos are very nice (though not quite as nice as expected---but super usable)....Synth sounds are lush and airy....Brass and Woodwinds are realistic enough---especially the "Breathy" saxes and flutes.....Strings are good to very good....Organs are pretty incredible, and Percussion sounds are nice, especially bongos, congas and bells and blocks. Now, to be honest, I've only had the unit for 5 days, so I can't really comment on most of its functions and capabilities....what I can say though is that I have been having a good time so far exploring the tones and song memory/recording function....although as with any keyboard in this price range, there are a fair share of tones that certainly could have been left off. But what I have enjoyed most is using the song memory. In the past five days I have actually learned some music theory just by laying down a rhythm track and then layering other rhythms and melodies over it using the other available recording tracks....very cool. In conclusion, I would certainly recommend the WK series to the aspiring/intermediate keyboardist, however, this is NOT a toy....at the very least it is a "semi-professional" instrument that I would probably not recommend for younger children....the CTK and "lighted-keys" models would better suit children. Lastly, my only slight complaint thus far is the limited song memory space (only 5 songs), however, the unit accepts a SmartMedia card that is capable of memory of up to 200 songs.....obviously my next purchase! Enjoy, Jeff

The sound chip puts out great sound. It has a lot of features found on more expensive models. I would like to see a feature that allows you to store standard MIDI (SMF0) files that can be played elsewhere. Also, this model would benefit from an improved key action. I love the Smartmedia slot which is the main reason I decided to buy this model. It's relatively light weight will not break your back when transporting it to a gig.

This keyboard/workstation does most of the work boards costing several hundred dollars more will do. Great sounds, good selection of rhythms that can be modified using the on-board mixer, realistic drawbar organ, loads of effects that can be heavily modified to suit almost any taste & a fully functional real-time/step sequencer. There is a lot more it can do, so get one & find out what this beastie is capable of! Excellent value!
