300 watts is really 4 channels at 75 watts each

An interesting way for Behringer to advertise its output power. Had to have the amp repaired (cable between the internal preamp and amp came off). When I asked the tech about the alleged 300 watt rating, he tested it and found that each of the 4 channels puts out 75 watts. To get 150 watts of power, he ran two channels of a stereo footboard into two channels of the Behringer. So technically, the amp puts out 300 watts, but you'd have to be running a single signal to all 4 channels at full volume to get 300 watts output from that single source.

K3000FX only last 15 months

I play guitar and keys, and bought the K3000FX due to its 4-channel capability, and to replace carrying two separate amps. Three months after the warranty period, the K3000FX started cutting out intermittently, then quit completely in the middle of a stage performance. All lights still worked, just no sound. While it has lots of great features, its definitely not 300 ways either, as the two 120 watt amps used previously put out much more sound. I've used Behringer before and been pleased, but this amp has been a disappointment.

EXTREMELY HAPPY

I had my eye on this for a few weeks at a local shop. One day, I played through it and the sound was so crisp and clear and OH MAN was it loud! I took it home that day and it has been awesome. I don't use the effects much, other than occasionally on my bands vocals. At many of our shows its our only speaker. My friends rock band borrowed it at an outside venue to boost their sound, there speakers had some problems and they ended up playing the whole show through this amp and it worked great. The only thing is that the mic input is so much louder than the rest. We play through an unpowered mixer and plug it in. problem solved. This is a great amp for us little guys. Easy to transport and the volume is just awesome!

Good amp for what it is

I bought K3000FX new a year and a half ago, and got another one used a half year ago. I link them together through the stereo link function and use the combo to play bass through. I bought the second one mainly to use in larger venues, when I need more volume. Together, the are as loud as I've ever needed. The amp itself has a pretty flat response, so I use an amp emulation pedal that also boosts the input. I use them several times a week, and I've never had any problems with them since I've owned them.

This isn't the best amp I have used for keyboard sounds, specifically organ, rhodes, piano, etc etc. But I do have to say for the price, it is an excellent value. Considering it is a little bit harder to find jobs these days, I don't mind spending less money for an amp that does a very good job. I have gigged with Roland, and Bose speakers for years, and I am just as happy with this amp. Dollar for dollar, this is the best deal while not sacrificing quality.
