I'm using the Behringer FCB1010 with the Behringer V-Ampire LX1200H Head. When I first got it, I was confused and it took me a few hours. Finally, somebody smakced me on the head and I usd my head and actually got it working. This thing is absolutely magnificent as a controller. The wah is terrible, and I don't really like the volume either. I fully disabled the wah because it is crap, but I kept EXPRESSION B on as an overall volume control to simply mute my amp when I have to switch guitar. Good to get if you wanna use it as a controller.

This thing on the outside is a good product, I was very surprised with the external quality, and felt the value to be worth the money for what it does. Sadly I thought it could be programmed like a few more, slightly more expensive controllers, where you can have the bank pedals change the patch or bank, and the rest are just on/off pedals(stomp style). After hours of research, the best result I found was 5 pedals for patches, 5 for on/off for effects (stomp-pedal style). That simply doesn't cut it for me, especially if you have to buy some crazy Firmware upgrade (that's not even software oddly enough), void the warranty, then spend hours setting it up.

If you know what your doing, and you understand its uses, this is surely a fine product. I Find it to be nothing more then a patch selector, with only 99 patches available, out of like 400 on most of my devices, that also, didn't cut it or I would have kept it just fr that. I'm giving this such a low rating, because its so dang old, they really need to come out with a new one already, and no one is telling the truth here. For software applications, some plugins, probably a few processors, it works pretty well. For me, I'm getting the Roland FC-300 or the Ground Control. they do so much more, you really get what you pay for. For my use, 2.5, for some 5.0.. really can't give a good rating personally, just do your research before you make the plunge. if your getting something boss, stick with Roland stuff, Something Line-6, stick with Line-6 boards. Not worth trying to save some money, if your losing time, as, time is money!.

I have owned this unit for about a year. I use it with the digitech gsp1101 preamp. No problems from day one. I bought it for home use, but considering I have 3 of the clumsiest kids around, you can imagine the abuse it has taken. I also use it gigging with no trouble. Don't be afraid of the in expensive look. It works great.

MIDI experience a must

I bought this board to compliment my GMX212 amp. I disappointed at first with the quality as it looked flimsy but, after many gigs it has held up great with no issues at all. I do recommend getting some experience with MIDI before buying this though as it is a little difficult to program and the instruction aren't the best. Behringer does help you out though with the tech department so once you get the hang of it it's pretty awesome what it's capable of.

This thing is a beast. It's quite a deal if you consider how much it can do. The biggest problem I've had is it's rather difficult to program. Read up on some midi before you buy it (or plan to, otherwise you're going to be lost...this isn't a damn keyboard). Also, the pedals aren't 100% "aligned" correctly (the light that picks up the slope isn't at a perfect 90 degree angle...an easy fix, but it's not far enough off for me to screw with it).

It's got very tough construction, except the pedals are a tad cheap (but still great...for being plastic with rubber tips). You have lots of options when it comes to programming (it's not just a standard midi signal). For example, you can program specific notes to specific patches on presets (useful if you have program that only pick up "note values"). I got this thing to control my computer, which is awesome. It's about a yard long, almost scary. The power cord is also about a yard long, which sucks.

Manual is thin and helpful enough, but expects the user to know more than probably most who buy this do (IE, those who are trying to control amplitube, ect). With no programming, amplitube can easily pick it up for wah, so if that's your motive, go for it. You don't need a direct midi to midi connection for this to work, you can use a midi to usb or whichever you choose.

Overall, a solid yet a bit on the complicated side as far as midi foot controllers go. Way cheap though.
